We’re a Cardiff based business with big ideas. We work closely with our partners through every stage of building your new home, helping your home use as little energy as possible and using renewable energy as standard. Sero is helping to reduce carbon emissions and fight climate change, but we’re not being unrealistic, we’re not asking our customers to simply stop using any energy. We are building renewable energy sources into homes and sourcing 100% renewable.

When the sun shines on the solar panels they absorb the energy, creating electricity which is then used to power the appliances in your home, with any excess being stored in your battery.
Green energy comes from natural sources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, plants, algae and the heat of the earth. These energy resources are renewable, meaning they’re naturally replenished. Fossil fuels are not renewable, they take millions of years to develop and when they are gone, they are gone.
Renewable energy is energy that is collected from renewable sources, which are naturally replenished, such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat.
There are lots of good reasons to use renewables, not least you would be helping to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases that go into the air.
Our increasing carbon footprint is having profound effects on the environment. Rising temperatures and changes to weather patterns are changing where plants can grow and sea levels are rising. As the temperature of our planet increases rising seas will erode shorelines and destroy ecosystems, coastal cities and towns could become underwater.
No, unlike lead-acid batteries (like you have in a car), our Batteries do not create harmful emissions.
No, the battery has a small cooling fan, but it is very quiet and isn’t always on.
You will get an alert/ notification on your app. Don’t worry, we’ll get an alert at the same time and will be on the case!
There are times during the day that your solar panels are making lots of energy, and peak times you will use energy. These are not always at the same time of the day. The battery allows energy to be stored when production is high and then used when it is needed but production is lower, making the most of the clean energy you generate.
It depends on the exact battery installed in your home but at least 5kWh, which is enough to run a TV for 30 hours (an LCD TV)
Yes! Solar panels don’t need it to be warm to work, they just need it to be bright and sunny. Of course in the winter months the days are shorter and the sun doesn’t get as high in the sky, so the panels will make less energy than the summer, but they will still work.
